BSBI New Year Plant Hunt

For anyone taking part in the New year plant hunt, John Rogers our Botany recorder, will meet you at Uppingham Market Place at 10.00am on Thursday 1st January 2026 for an hour or so to list any wild and naturalised plants in bloom around the churchyard and surrounding area.

This yearly run citizen science event takes place for a maximum of 3 hours over four days from 1st to 4th January 2026, and if you would like to go out and list wild plants in your own local patch instead, please can you send your list to John:  rnhsbotanyrecord@gmail.com who will send the results to www.bsbi.org.uk
