This a request for help from Cardiff University Otter Project.
They need a fresh otter!
They are seeking a really fresh sample from a male otter, in order to extract DNA for whole genome sequencing by the Wellcome Sanger Institute.
Ideally they are hoping to get a blood sample from a live otter, but this has its problems. secondly they could get a tissue sample from a freshly deceased otter so if you know that a dead otter you find is very recently deceased please contact 02920 874046 to arrange rapid collection.
